After twenty years in show business in New York City, Courtney is grateful to be at Penn State getting an MFA. She performed in New York and around the country in The Producers, Young Frankenstein, The Full Monty, Little Me, Fosse, Cats, The Radio City Rockettes and various others. She was lucky enough to work as a resident choreographer with Susan Stroman on The Producers and associate director/choreographer with Robert Longbottom on Carnival at the Kennedy Center and the national tour of Dreamgirls which debuted at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem.

Courtney is currently immersed in learning the craft of directing for theatre under the guidance of Susan Schulman and Cary Libkin.
